Bluenose Coast Tranquility & Tides

Bluenose Coast
Departs Halifax 10am
Price: $95 per person, inc. tax

Our first port of call on this ever-popular tour is Peggy's Cove.  Here you will have time to capture one of Nova Scotia's signature shorts of the Lighthouse, majestically sitting atop huge great slabs of granite which have been smoothed by years of the rolling surf of the North Atlantic.

From Peggy's Cove we will continue along the Bluenose Coast (formerly known as the Lighthouse Route) and stop next in Mahone Bay, world famous for the three beautiful oceanfront churches with their steeples gracing the skyline. Without doubt, this is another stop for a photo you will show again and again when you relive your trip to Nova Scotia to friends and loved ones.

When we leave Mahone Bay we will head to Lunenburg, only a very short drive away. Lunenburg was endorsed by U.N.E.S.C.O. as a World Heritage Site in the mid-1990s, and is one of the last towns on the continent reminiscent of the United Empire Loyalists of 1753. Fishing boats come and go, but the only skyscrapers you are likely to see here are the masts of the tall ships which frequent the Port of Lunenburg. We will allow an hour to stop and enjoy Lunenburg after touring the town.

This brings us to the end of today's tour, and we will head back to Halifax.  The approximate duration of this tour is 7.5 hours, 4 hours of which will be spent in the van.

All our tours require a minimum of 2 people.  If you are travelling on your own you should still contact us!  Chances are, other people are interested in the same tour and you would therefore still be able to book a seat!  If we do not have another person booked we will do all we can to find other passengers, by contacting hotels and Visitor Information Centres.

Tranquility & Tides
Departs Halifax 10am
Price: $95 per person, inc. tax

Departing Halifax, we travel first to the Town of Wolfville, once known as MudCreek due to the vast acres of mudflats exposed at low tide.  This Minas Basin town is home to Acadia University and some of the finest farmland on the continent.

We then travel over North Mountain to the Village of Hall's Harbour, where the tides have reached 45 feet in height, and you will find the fishing boats either floating on the beautiful blue Bay of Fundy or resting on the mudflats far below the wharf.

We then visit Cape Blomidon for its outstanding view over the Annapolis Valley, and finally a stroll through the Botanical Gardens at Acadia University before returning to Halifax.  The approximate duration of this tour is 7 hours, 3.5 hours of which will be spent in the van.
