Off the Beaten Path

We are lucky to live in an area with such stunning coastal scenery, and we want you to experience some of it! We can simply go for a drive in our comfortable air-conditioned van, or we can incorporate a hike with your day out.

There are beaches to stroll along and cliffs to hike if you wish, before we cross the LaHave River on the cable ferry on our way to Rissers Beach - a lovely soft-sand beach with a full canteen and showers, and then on to Green Bay - yet another beautiful beach to visit.  There is, of course, the very popular LaHave Bakery just next to the ferry and Best Coast Coffee in Broad Cove ... two can't-be-missed attractions. There will be numerous photo stops along the way. Why do we call this Off the Beaten Path? Because it is some of Nova Scotia's finest scenery, but the tourists haven't seem to have discovered it yet. So you can enjoy some truly unique Nova Scotia without being constantly in the midst of a busy crowd.

Duration: from 3-12 hours
Departure: 9am
Price: $35 per hour, minimum 3 hours (plus hst)

Kejimkujik
Seaside Adjunct
Hike

One of the more beautiful and yet somehow incredible undiscovered National Parks in Nova Scotia is the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct. The hike is not arduous - it is a very easy hike through forest and then along the beach. It truly is a magnificent part of Nova Scotia that should not be missed.

An additional option for today would be adding the Gaff Point hike. Not too much further up the coast, Gaff Point is rocky cliffs, craggy shorelines and hidden private beaches. Both of these hikes will offer remarkable ocean vistas, wildlife and flora like the beautiful and unique Pitcher Plant flowers, found mostly in Newfoundland.

Duration: from 5 hours (+3 hours if you include Gaff's Point)
Departure: 9am
Price for 1-4 people: $175 (plus hst) ($240 plus hst if you include Gaff's Point)

Bay of Fundy

& Annapolis

This fully customised tour offers something for everyone!

There are early Native and European settlements to explore, as well as information centres about the infamous Acadians (who became American Cajuns after their expulsion from Nova Scotia) who diked the tidal salt marsh land that has now become the productive farms and wineries you see today.

There are the highest tides in the world here, measured at 54 feet. The tide comes in and the fishing boats rise to allow wonderful photos. The tide goes out to expose vast areas of mud flat.

The Village of Halls Harbor is home to a lobster pound and fishing fleet, and the Town of Wolfville is home to Acadia University. There are hikes at Cape Split and Cape Blomidon which both offer magnificent views over the Bay of Fundy and Minas Basin. There is so much to squeeze into one day, and this is why we offer this tour as a customised tour rather than a set schedule. Let us know what you're all about: hiking, wineries, lobster, agriculture, history, tidal bore - we will turn your interests into a never-to-be-forgotten tour.

Duration: 7-8 hours
Departure: 9am
Price: 1-4 people $260(plus hst)

Extra Passengers: $20 per person to a maximum total of seven people

Our pricing - unless otherwise stated, our prices are for 1-4 people and do not include local hst tax. This is a group rate which is divided between the people in the van. For example: the full day tour along the Annapolis Valley is $260 plus tax for up to 4 people - therefore if there are four people in your group it works out to $65 per person, plus tax. Additional people are $20 each up to a maximum of seven people. So if there were seven people in your group, a full day tour along the Bluenose Coast would only be $46 per person - you won't find a cheaper full-day tour of the Annapolis Valley!!

Shuttles from Mahone Bay/Lunenburg to Halifax Stanfield International Airport are available by reservation only.

The price is $120 plus hst for one to four people ($15 for each additional person, maximum seven).
This prices includes airport pick-up/drop-off fees.

Pick-up/Drop-off from other locations available for an additional fee. Email us for a quote!

This is a door-to-door, private service.
